“Forest Glades” is a book written by Spanish philosopher Maria Zambrano.
In it, Zambrano explores the relationship between philosophy, poetry, and mysticism, using the metaphor of the forest to represent the inner space of the human being. She says that, just like clearings in the middle of a forest, there are moments of clarity and understanding in people’s lives that illuminate their path and allow them to find meaning and direction.
The sculpture is made from a flat tapestry, worked like a crumpled piece of paper, incorporating pages of the book, from which we can read fragments of the text: loose words from a recital that has become inaccessible.
